Dear MMJB Friends, one way to bring back the best player then ever is to install a Linux system. And then install WINE 1.4. Than download the MMJB 8 or 8.2 version into any directory. Than right click on the MMJB downloadfile and click open (or run) with WINE. That's all. Who needs still Windows? Ha! Only the "Lookup Tags" funktion fails. But the Auto DJ and all the other funktions working well. And you all are right: there ist no player in the whole world like MMJB. I've bought the full version so many years ago and I still using no other player because there is no one else. If yo have any questions feel free to ask: www.scheidgen.deThere is a mailformular on the guestbook and contact site: www.scheidgen.de/hubert.htm WKR Hubert

LISTEN UP EVERYBODY !!!!!!!!
I have an old version of MMJB (7.5). I tried later offerings but didn't like any. I kept on XP as long as poss, but then went straight to win 8. I have now updated to 8.1. I thought I'd try to instal my MM 7.5, & guess what ? IT WORKS !!!!! I can't find any part that does not function. I guess you'll tell me that's been known for some time but I am so pleased to have the best Jukebox ever available again Yahoo (sorry Yippee !!!) If anyone wants a copy of 7.5 with key post here & I'll send it.

Hi everybody I too am a music match lover. I've been trying to find a replacement for some time.(I also upgraded to a lifetime subscription) when Yahoo came out with their player I was very disappointed as well. It looked so generic it wasn't even funny. Who wanted this purple and gray thing? I didn't use a very long, it just was not music match. Now I'm running Windows 7 machine still have all my music but really no player. Yeah yeah when does always has when the media player but it needs to be different codes to play anything who wants to put out the effort to do so. I've tried iTunes be a it's okay. I've tried Winamp yeah it's okay to. But none of the above mentioned players have anything at all like music match music match looked upon every all the information that you need. And it didn't look too bad either, youth, silver with a blue background with black letters it was said nice looking piece of software. One of the things I really liked about music match is the fact that you could have multiple libraries, a library for country music, a library for rock music, and you can separate your individual music like that. And it wasn't too hard to make separate libraries I think was just couple clicks. I haven't found anything that comes close to music match, functionality, looks, it was just an all-around nice. So if anyone out there has come up with a really good alternative please let us know. Oh and by the way I to would be interested in donating to the cause of bringing back music match jukebox immediately!!!

Hi guys, I am new here and still searching in earnest for a replacement for MMJB. I do have it running in Win 7 Pro 64 bit XP Mode.
For you die hards, all versions can be found at oldversion.com. I have recently upgraded 3 of my laptops to Win 10 and I will start the process of trying some of the versions on it.
And yes, I am completely baffled as to why NOBODY has done an opensource version of this beautiful software...the most functional music manager ever. I am still pissed at Yahoo and refuse to use any and everything related to it till this day. I would pay up to $100 to help some brilliant coder develop a working opensource version.
I've done Winamp. Should be named Wimpamp. It is dying a slow death per their site and forums.
I've got the premium version of Media Monkey, but it is so hard to navigate in comparison. The skins are blah at best. Anyone know a decent source for the old MMJB skins? There were sooo many great skins for it~!
Still kicking it though and glad to see I am not alone here.

I downloaded 9.0 from oldversion.com. Right click the downloaded file, choose properties, compatibility, compatibility mode windows XP SP 2. I also checked the Run as admin box. Installed custom, unchecked all connected options. and continued. I opted to install Basic. Then unchecked start MMJB and restart. This is important. Do uncheck register. After restart right click the tray icon and run. Then go into Options. Uncheck all connections to updates, verifications and automatic stuffs. FYI, this pc is an old laptop, Compaq Presario CQ 60, 2007ish I don't remember... original Vista upgraded to Win 8, Win 8.1. Then Windows 10 with 2 gb memory Test box that just keeps on ticking... Now I will manually enter my upgrade key by clicking help then enter upgrade key - and restart. Let's see how this goes xD So far so good, now I right clicked the tray icon and run the prog. Go into Options, Settings, CD Lookup Connectivity, Enable Music Server. Enable all in that category. Ok so shared files do not work. New plan. Click library on the left panel and add tracks. Choose source from there. I have a home network set up so I did that. Much easier if you have your music preloaded onto your box but for those of you who are techies, this is how. Keep in mind I haven't upgraded to V10, this is pure V9.0 from oldversion.com I enabled sharing for home networking from my main, it is less complicated if you put the music on the pc you are working from. I have plenty of space, just I want to do this~! The point is that MMJB v9.0 works. Y'all help if you can. I am tired so gonna log for tonite..gone but not forgotten I hope~! Update: Due to the age of this pc, burner is working and so is recording
